Precautions & Safety
- Booking Amount: ₹2,000 per person (non-refundable) to reserve your seat
- Balance Payment: Remaining amount is paid after the induction meeting or at the boarding point
- Gear: Trekking shoes with good grip and a backpack of at least 50 litres with a rain cover
- Warm Layers: Thermals, fleece, woollen cap, gloves, balaclava and a poncho
- Essentials: Head torch with spare batteries, valid photo ID, water bottles and dry snacks
- Personal Care: Personal medication, sunscreen, cold cream and UV protected sunglasses
- On the Trail: Stay with the group and follow the trek leader's instructions at all times
- Leave No Trace: Carry your waste back with you and avoid single use plastic on the trail

It is a moderate trek, widely considered one of the best beginner-friendly snow treks in India. The steepest section is the summit day climb, done slowly at night with head torches.
December to April, when the trail and summit are reliably snow-covered. This is what makes it one of the most popular winter treks in the country.
The summit sits at about 12,500 ft (3,810 metres), reached after a pre-dawn climb from the base camp at 11,250 ft.
A homestay night in Sankri, three nights of camping, all meals from Day 1 dinner to Day 5 lunch, surface transfer from Dehradun, a trek leader with support staff, camping and technical gear, and a safety kit with an oximeter, BP monitor, first aid box and oxygen cylinder.
