Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about visiting this destination

June to September offers open roads and pleasant weather for sightseeing. The shoulder months of April, May and October are quieter and cheaper, with fewer crowds at the popular spots.

Indian travellers need an online Environmental Development Fee for restricted areas like Pangong Tso and Nubra Valley. This is arranged as part of the trip, so you do not need to handle it yourself.

Rest on arrival in Leh, stay well hydrated, avoid alcohol on the first two days and let the body acclimatize before heading to higher passes. Oxygen and basic first aid are carried throughout the trip.

Riders should be comfortable with long days in the saddle on mountain roads. A tour leader and bike marshal travel with the group throughout, along with a backup vehicle for support.

Group departures are open to travellers between 16 and 45 years of age.

Warm layers even in summer, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm and any personal medication you may need, since pharmacies are limited once you leave Leh town.
